In a recent blog post on SEOmoz, Rand Fishkin describes how to achieve a strategic advantage from their linking strategy. It is based around the idea that you should reward the linker in some way to make linking back a rewarding proposition. In other words you can’t simply rely on good content to attract links, you have to offer something more. He provides some examples of his strategy, and includes a video presentation he made recently at SES in New York. Link building is an activity that most Webmasters shy away from, but these strategies will give you renewed hope that the drudgery will really pay off.
