How Useful Is Real Time Search?

Google has only recently integrated Real time Search into the search engine results pages, after having paid twitter around $15 million to gain access to the information.  But, has the investment been worth it so far?  This article delves into the details and looks at the different times taken by information foragers as opposed to consumers to actually take notice of the real-time search results.  The article asks some interesting questions about the value of real-time search which may be at odds with Google’s insistence that it will make a dramatic difference to search results.
